The goal of Ron Paul supporters is to raise an incredible $10 Million on this single day, the Ron Paul "Tea Party." Held on this day as it is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party of 1773.

The Boston Tea Party of 1773 was a protest of oppressive taxation by the British government on the colonies. The Ron Paul Tea Party of 2007 is a protest of the oppressive taxation of the American government on it's citizens. Ron Paul believes the IRS should be destroyed as it is a corrupt unnecessary system. He believes tax money should be spent much more thriftily, in particular when it comes to the wasteful spending on an imperialistic foreign policy which has American military bases all over the world. We can be taxed far less than we are now and still have a government that does everything that it needs to.
