Ron Paul's Tea Party - December 16, 2007
Thursday, December 13, 2007
Ron Paul has already raised over $11 million this quarter (which ends at the end of December) and looks to be a cinch to meet his campaign's fund raising goal of $12 million. You can see a running tally of Ron Paul's fund raising totals on his website here. He is the only candidate to have such a running tally available.Ron Paul supporters are hoping to help him obliterate that goal with the "Ron Paul Tea Party" on Sunday, December 16th. The date is symbolic as it is the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party of 1773. The Boston Tea Party was a protest against the heavy taxation of Great Britain on the colonies and was instrumental in sparking the American Revolution.
Just like the $4.3 million "Money Bomb" on November 5th, this fund raising event has been organized entirely by Ron Paul's supporters, not his campaign.
The goal of the organizers of the Ron Paul Tea Party is high. They want to raise an unbelievable $10 million in a single day. If you want to show your support for civil liberties, fair taxation, and a non interventionist foreign policy then take part in what many Ron Paul supporters see as an historic occasion: Donate To The Ron Paul Campaign On December 16th.
In other Ron Paul news: Ron Paul is on PBS's NOW tomorrow night (Dec 14th.) In most markets the show will be on at 8:30 PM but you should check your local listings to make sure.
