2012 Presidential Candidates

The title of this website has been 2008 Presidential Candidates since I launched it in 2007. Today I’m changing it to 2012 Presidential Candidates. Presidential politics is pretty much a perpetual thing.

So who else is likely to be a 2012 Presidential Candidate other than President Obama?

I think at this point there are three from the Republican side that I really expect to be around: Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, & Sarah Palin. Sadly for the Republicans I really think these are the front runners right now. These are all truly awful candidates that will likely be crushed by Obama unless his approval rating is below 45%. Who else do they have? Bobby Jindal? Eric Canter? Newt Gingrich? I just don’t see anyone getting excited about any of them.

None of them represent anything new.

Obviously a lot of things can change in politics in four years and it’s obvious the GOP & their attack dogs (Fox News/Rush Limbaugh) will be spending every hour of the day trying to destroy his Presidency (even if they destroy the country too in the process.) But at the moment Obama looks like very strong for 2012.

  2. Is it that you hate republicans, or do you base your views on the issues? Why is Reagen and Bush at fault for the errors of Clinton and Carter. You talk about Limbaugh and Fox News being unfair, while Obama does the same things that Bush has done, and MSNBC, and liberal communities applaud Obama. You want to talk about detroying a Good man look at yourself in the mirror

  3. Joe Minor, read “Tear Down This Myth” it will greatly increase your understanding of where this country is at right now and who is at fault for the major problems facing this country (and thus the world.) It’s a fantastic book.

The policies of Ronald Reagan & (to an even greater extent) George W. Bush have been absolute failures. It was Bill Clinton who actually made good on Reagan’s promises (like balancing the budget and reducing the size of Government.)

It’s the issues that really matter and the Democratic party has proven itself to be better on the issues than the Republican party. Until they forget about Reagan (who was a massive failure) and come up with some new ideas the GOP is going nowhere fast.

  4. Well…I think (Please note I said that I THINK not that I KNOW) that with the way things are going right NOW, with the heath care bill and etc, that Obama really may NOT get re-elected in the 2012. That’s just my opinion. Obviously SOMEONE out there is going to tell me to shut my mouth because I don’t know what I’m talking about and blah blah blah…BUT a large number of Americans do NOT want this HC bill and he’s working on passing it. How many times in history has the majority of the people NOT wanted something to happen and then the guy in charge made it happen, and then the guy in charge was killed, overrun or a revolution ensued? We can even go back to about 1353 BC…Akhenaten…an Egyptian Pharaoh, wanted to convert the country to henotheism and he forced it down the people’s throats. The people did NOT want to believe in one god…they wanted polytheism. Akhenaten “died mysteriously”. There are so many other examples of this in history, I’m just comparing. Plese, don’t slam me. This is My opinion, I’m not trying to make it yours.

  5. Nora, a large number of Americans do want health care reform passed. In fact polls show that a majority of Americans support the public option (including 73% of doctors.) Most people do support Obama’s health care reform when they find out what it really is (rather than listening to the lies of the right wing propaganda machine/Fox News.)

  6. BTW if you want to know what Obama’s health care reform is really about, watch this four minute clip:

  9. nora, your comment was completely inappropriate so it had to be deleted. I will not allow for any comments here which make any mention of any physical harm coming to the President. And I will pass along IP addresses to the appropriate authorities. This is no laughing matter. He is the President of the United States (who won the election by nearly 10 million votes!) and if you threaten him in any way you are a treasonous bastard.
