Barack Obama On Charlie Rose In 2004
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Apr 13, 2008 in Barack Obama
Republicans have been using wedge issues like gay marriage, abortion, religion, and guns to keep many middle and lower class voters from voting in their own economic interests (for Democrats.) That’s the true issue that Obama was getting at with his “bitter” comments the other day. Of course McCain & Clinton know that, but they are still doing their best to twist those comments out of context in order to try to use them for political gain.
This is good example of how McCain & Clinton represent politics as usual while Barack Obama represents a new beginning for America. Obama speaks frankly & honestly about the manipulation of small town voters, while McCain & Clinton play the politics as usual game of “gotcha.”
In 2004 Obama talked about this same issue with Charlie Rose. Watch this clip to get a better idea of what he is on about.
2008, Charlie Rose, Democrat, PBS, YouTube

Thanks for posting this! This really helps explain the context of Obama’s “controversial” statements
