Barack Obama To Appear On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Tonight

President Obama will become the first sitting President to appear on a late night program tonight when he visits with Jay Leno.
The Tonight Show is aired at 11:30 PM on NBC.
Why is Obama going on The Tonight Show? I believe his reasoning is much like that of FDR when he was doing his fireside radio chats in the 1930s. This is a time when the American people need to spoken to directly from the President himself about the economy.
These days people don’t listen to the radio much, but they do watch television. And very importantly, many of the people who watch Leno may not be the type of people who pay close attention to politics in general. This is a good way to reach them.
President Obama, is a natural person, reaching out to everyone is the way to go. I will be watching his interview with Jay Leno.
