Bill Richardson Endorses Barack Obama

Bill Richardson endorsed Barack Obama for president today. Christopher Dodd has also endorsed Obama, making a total of two former Democratic candidates who have now endorsed Obama. No former Democratic candidates have endorsed Hillary Clinton as of yet. John Edwards, Joe Biden, & Dennis Kucinich have yet to make an endorsement. Mike Gravel is still officially in the race.

As one of the most prominent Latino politicians in America, Richardson’s endorsement could carry a lot of weight in the Latino community. Exit polls have shown Latino voters to be among Clinton’s strongest supporters. A swing of Latino voters in Obama’s favor could make a big difference in upcoming primaries.
