Clinton Squeaks Out A Win In Indiana
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on May 6, 2008 in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton
With 99% reporting Hillary Clinton wins Indiana 51% to 49% over Barack Obama. Obama won North Carolina in much more commanding fashion 56% to 42%.
Overall (NC & Indiana) Obama has picked up about 200,000 votes today in the popular vote count which technically doesn’t mean anything but does take away one of Clinton’s possible talking points. Obama now holds a commanding popular vote lead.
Obama will also pick up a majority of the 187 pledged delegates that were at stake today, although the exact margins are not known yet.
Today’s strong showing by Obama will likely lead to many superdelegate endorsements in the coming week.
