Current Republican Party Is Far Too The Right Off Past Republican Presidents

This is a great article from Newsweek that proves that none of the Republican Presidents of the last 50 years would pass the “purity test” of today’s Republican party.
The Republicans have moved so far too the right that even Ronald Reagan would be considered a “liberal” by their standards. Considering that it was right wing policies that gave us the mess that President Obama is trying his best to clean up (whether it be reversing Bush’s recession, ending Bush’s wars, or trying to stop the “drill baby drill” BP leak) that’s extremely scary.
The current far right wing version of the Republican Party is simply “not fit to lead.” Seriously. They really are scary. If they are able to get back in power they will finish the job of destroying this country that George W Bush and the Republicans in congress started.
Make sure you are registered to vote for this November’s elections and vote against all Republican candidates.

I don’t agree with you pushing a “auto-vote” against Republicans agenda. The vast majority of their politicians are out of touch yes but the least we can do is ask people to vote for a rational candidate. It’d be just as bad to place our trust in a Corporate-Democrat.

I’d rather say that all politicians are out of touch. Whatever the party is, they are no ordinary people anymore after they sat in congress for a couple of years. That’s it. Thus, they cannot know what the ordinary people really need.

I agree with both previous comments. There isn’t a politician out there anymore that represents the interest of the normal “joe”. They have the interest of big business and the rich in mind. I’m a combat veteran, who is looking into moving out of this country. I seriously think this country is falling apart, and I don’t know how much longer it’s going to last. We have people right now as I speak dying for our liberties in other countries while people are preparing to go to freaking major league sporting events. There is a serious freaking problem here.
