Day 3 – 2008 Democratic Convention

Before I get to the incredible speech by Barack Obama tonight I want to do a quick update for day 3 which I unfortunately wasn’t able to get to until now.

Joe Biden (the VP nominee), John Kerry (2004 nominee), and Bill Clinton (President from ’93 to ’01) were the biggest names speaking on day 3 of the convention and they all gave great speeches on why Obama is the right choice and John McCain is the wrong choice in 2008.

Kerry hit McCain hard with his comparisons of “Candidate McCain” vs “Senator McCain.” McCain has changed positions on a huge amount of issues during this campaign in an attempt to endear himself to the right wing of his party.

President Clinton made the case that the McCain camp is trying to make against Obama is just like the case that Bush Sr. tried to make against him in ’92. Bush Sr. was wrong in ’92 and McCain is wrong in ’08.

VP nominee Biden hit McCain on his perceived strength in foreign policy by pointing out that McCain has been wrong on every major foreign policy issue while Obama has been right on those same foreign policy issues time after time.
