Debates: Obama/Biden 3, McCain/Palin 0

Barack Obama won tonight’s debate with John McCain, making it 3 to 0 in debates for the Democrats vs. the Republicans.

It’s not merely my opinion that Obama won the debate (although that certainly is my opinion) it is also the opinion of most other Americans who watched tonight’s second match-up between Obama & McCain.

In tonight’s CNN post debate poll, 54% of debate watchers thought Obama won the debate while only 30% thought McCain won. Perhaps most importantly McCain’s favorable rating among this polling group was at 51% before the debate and it’s still at 51% after the debate. On the other hand Obama’s favorable rating went from 60% before the debate to 64% after the debate.

So it’s clear who won the debate among the American people: “That One” (as John McCain refers to Barack Obama.)

Obama also handily won the CBS News poll of uncommitted debate viewers: 40% for Obama, 26% for McCain.
