Dennis Kucinich Is Dropping Out

Dennis Kucinich is dropping out of the race for the Democratic nomination. He has long been ignored by the mainstream media and he is finally giving up the fight.

With a tight race between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in many upcoming states, Kucinich’s dropping out may have an effect on the race as it’s unlikely many of his supporters (he polls around 3% nationally) will support Clinton. Kucinich’s supporters are more likely to move support to Obama, John Edwards, or Mike Gravel as they are each considered to the left of Clinton and Kucinich’s supporters are overwhelmingly liberal.

While Kucinich has never been able to gain any traction in this campaign that seems to be almost entirely due to the notion of “electability” as many Democrats agree with Kucinich on the issues more so than they do with the so called mainstream candidates.
