Desperate John McCain: “Campaign First.”

After looking at recent polls which show Obama opening up a huge lead over McCain nationally, John McCain has once again put “campaign first” with his ridiculous grandstanding political tactics.
Suspending his campaign and trying to delay the debate have absolutely nothing to do with getting a deal done with the bailout. McCain isn’t even on the Senate committee that relates to this issue. Chris Dodd heads that committee and he says that McCain hasn’t even contacted him one time about the bailout which shows how disgustingly political this tactic really is. Obama on the other hand has been in constant contact with Dodd on the status of the bailout deal.
Think about how insane this move by McCain is. It’s now about 10 days into this economic crisis and he hasn’t been back to Washington or apparently even contacted anyone actually involved with the bailout and suddenly he’s suspending his campaign and trying to delay a debate because of how it important it is for him to get back to Washington? Plain and simple: This is bullshit.
Anyone who buys that McCain is doing this for anything other than political reasons, well Sarah Palin has a bridge in Alaska she’d like to sell you.
On top of that, McCain was still in New York City this morning so I guess it wasn’t that important for him to get back to Washington right away.
Last night he canceled an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman because he had to get back to Washington. In fact he told Letterman he would be going back to Washington last night. That turned out to be just another lie from McCain (it’s hard to keep up with all of his lies, isn’t it?)
Guess what McCain was doing when he was supposed to be on the Letterman show last night? Doing an interview with Katie Couric. Seriously. I’m not making this up. John McCain is a liar. John McCain is a liar. John McCain is a liar. This man will do and say anything to become President, but he is anything but Presidential.
