Dick Cheney Admits There Was No Link Between Saddam Hussein & 9/11

Remember when the Bush admin (and Dick Cheney in particular) was beating the drum for a War in Iraq? Remember how they always tried to tie that war in with the so called “War on Terror” and with the tragic events of 9/11?

Well now Dick Cheney himself admits that there was never a connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11.

Knowing how Cheney lied about the Iraq war, how can anyone take anything he says seriously? The man is a known liar. Nothing he says should be taken as anything other than another fabrication.

The fact that the mainstream media is giving this guy the time of day makes me sick. He should be defending himself and the cowardly acts of the Bush administration in a court of law not in the press.

What really irritates me is how Cheney always repeats the lie that the Bush/Cheney admin’s policies kept America safe. That is nonsense! The worst terrorist attack in US history happened on their watch. They ignored the many warnings of an impending attack on US soil. They ignored the warnings of the outgoing Clinton admin about the dangers of Al Qaeda.

Nearly 3000 Americans died on September 11th. If Bush/Cheney are going to take credit for the 7.5 years after that without another major attack then they also deserve the blame for 9/11.

And beyond that they deserve much more than merely blame for taking our country into an unjust war in Iraq based on nothing but lies (WMD & a 9/11 connection.)

History will not be kind to the Bush/Cheney admin and their many lies, their unjust war in Iraq, and their war crimes (yes, torture is a war crime and yes waterboarding is torture.)
