Fox News Poll: Obama 62% Favorable, Republican Party 36%
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Jul 28, 2009 in Barack Obama
A new poll from Fox News has the Republican party at record low favorable rating at just 36% (with 53% unfavorable) while President Obama has a 62% favorable rating in the poll. The President’s unfavorable rating is at just 33%.
In a direct comparison with the Democratic party, the Republican party lags considerably. The Democratic party has a 50% favorable vs. a 41% unfavorable rating. These numbers are very similar to where the Democratic party was heading into last year’s elections.
As badly as the Republicans did on Election Day last November, they are currently lagging behind their polling numbers from that period by quite a lot. The Republicans had a 46%/50% split in late October of ‘08. That means they’ve gone from -4% to -17% since then. In other words, as bleak as the last election cycle was for Republicans - things look even bleaker for the “Party of No Ideas” now.
