January 20, 2009: President Barack Obama

It’s now only 8 days away from the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States.

Thus far most Americans are pleased with Obama’s performance as President-elect. According to Rasmussen he currently has a 67% approval rating.

2012 will likely be a referendum on Obama’s performance during his first term as President so that approval rating will be the best barometer of whether or not he will be re-elected. A 50% approval rating is probably all it will take for Obama to be re-elected.

  1. I recently saw a news headline on TV that said “American public gives Obama 2 months to fix the mess.” Ha! Good luck with that one. It’s going to be way longer than that. Try 2 years.

  2. I was so happy when Mr. Obama won the election, as the first african american ever for teh President of US. But reality is another african american was shot dead on New Year’s day by the oakland police. Disturbing isn’t it ?
