Jeremiah Wright In Context
By admin on Apr 23, 2008 in Barack Obama
You’ve seen the short clips the media has played of Jeremiah Wright over and over again. How about seeing/hearing what he said in context? (The video is embedded below.) Did you know that the quotes they keep playing over and over again were actually Wright quoting someone else? (The guy he was quoting is white, by the way. A white ambassador.)
How can you hear what he said in context and not agree with it 100%? It’s all true. The CIA agrees. When a country is attacked due to anger over their foreign policy, it is called “Blowback.” Of course the things that we have done in foreign lands have an effect (and we have done many many things in foreign lands that people in other countries do not look kindly upon.) Of course these things cause people like Bin Laden to hate us.
Its important to note that doesn’t make what they did right. And it’s very important to note that Wright never said that it makes it right. It’s clear that he was very shaken and hurt by what happened on 9/11 just like all Americans were. No innocent people ever deserve to die. That’s the whole point. The point is, as Wright says, “violence begets violence.” It’s never OK to kill innocent people. That’s what Reverend Wright believes, because he’s a real Christian. The neocon “Christians” that talk about “bombing them all” are not real Christians. They don’t get it. It’s never OK to kill innocent people. Not when it’s done to us, and not when our government does it to others.
Don’t let the media demonize this man by taking his comments out of context the way they have done. Can’t you see by watching the clip below what they were intending to do. The media attacks on Wright are character assassination of the worst kind. They did all of this to this man in an attempt to derail Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Don’t let their fear mongering work this time. The last time these people scared America into voting against a candidate, we ended up with 4 more years of George W. Bush. Remember that. Don’t get fooled again.
Jeremiah Wright was a marine. He volunteered to serve his country. Can you say the same about George W. Bush or Dick Cheney? Seriously. Who’s the real patriot?

Jeremiah Wright IS a Marine. Once a Marine always a Marine.
Thanks,

Excellent Post!!! It always amazes me that so many people are willing to base their judgements when they have only a fraction of the truth at hand. I am so glad you posted the whole sermon, in context, for everyone to see and hear. My fear is that it will continue to be an issue for some people who are still unwilling to listen to the truth… I wish I had this sooner, as my sister got off on a tanget a couple of weeks past, and all I could say was that it might have been taken out of context. Now I have the proof to back up my beliefs. How come no one is plastering McSame about his cozy ‘relationship’ with mr. hagee??? Oh, I forgot, that only is important for the Dems. Rethugs can do whatever they ‘think’ is right. They believe they are above the Law of the Land, as well as the Laws of God. May He judge, and punish them accordingly.

The reason that terrorists and countries like Iran hate us is because the Muslim religion hates anybody not Muslim and they attacked Isreal and with Isreal being an american ally we helped them and now the terrorists are mad at us. You say it is not okay when innocent people are killed and I agree. But we did it in many wars and we bombed Berlin and nuked Japan. But those were times of war and I am sure we learned our lesson from that piece of history. But theese guys hate America and Britian and all of our comrades fighting with us in the Middle East. Not all places where theese guys are at have civillians.
