John McCain Moves Ahead In Latest National Polls

The Clinton campaign’s relentless negativity along with the beginnings of the right-wing’s “Swiftboating” of Obama (see the Rev. Wright nonsense) have caused Obama’s national numbers to drop. It hasn’t helped Clinton’s numbers either. While Clinton & Obama slug it out, McCain is waiting patiently for the Dem. nominee to become official.

It’s time for Hillary Clinton to drop out of this race as she cannot win fairly. It’s time for Democrats to realize what is really important, beating John McCain in November.

John McCain shares essentially the same positions as George W. Bush on most of the important issues facing America. McCain winning will mean four more years down the drain for the United States. This is a special time in our country’s history. We either change direction and head towards a promising new future or we stay in the rut we are in. More unneeded wars, more failed economy, millions without health care.

The decision seems obvious, and it is. That’s why the only way McCain stands a chance is if the people of this country are making their decisions based nonsense like what a candidate’s pastor says instead of the real issues like how many more years we will be in Iraq. McCain would like it to be 100. Obama would like it to be 0. Isn’t that what is really important?

What’s the poll that made me write this article? The latest Rasmussen poll released today. In that poll, McCain leads both Clinton and Obama 48% to 42% in a general election match-up.
