McCain Lies About Iraq

John McCain strengthened the claim that he represents a continuation of George W. Bush by lying about Iraq in response to a question about Scott McClellan’s charges that the Bush admin manipulated information in a propaganda campaign to start the war in Iraq.
This is what McCain said: “I have not seen the book or the comments. But I know why I supported it [the war] because I believed Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction as did every intelligence agency in the world and every assessment.”
This is flat out untrue. Not only did many around the world not believe that Iraq had WMD but many US agencies were also skeptical of the idea that Iraq had WMD.
