McCain Vs. Obama: Intelligence

After 8 years with a President who possesses a very questionable level of intelligence and who has had absolutely dreadful results with all of his decisions, it seems that intelligence should be a key trait Americans are looking for in their next President.

With that in mind consider this relevant comparison: The Republican nominee, John McCain, graduated 894th out of his class of 899 at the Naval Academy in 1958, while the likely Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors at Harvard Law School in 1991. Some may say that’s not a fair comparison as Obama was somewhat older and perhaps McCain was just a “young partier” when he was college. Perhaps that’s the case. Perhaps not?

Take a look at some of these McCain quotes which indicate not only a possible lack of intelligence but also a somewhat frightening temper problem.

  1. Yes indeed! It is long past due for the U.S. to shuck its current dunderhead and obtain a new president with the mental ability to run a great nation. Harvard is NOT in the habit of awarding a magma cum laude to anyone who isn’t brilliant. One brilliant Harvard grads was Boris Sidis, whose son William James Sidis was named for the extremely gifted Harvard professor, William James. William Sidis is said to have the most gifted mind ever known in the history of the U.S. and possibly the world with an IQ estimated of 250 to 300. To induce William’s father, Boris, to accept a Ph.D. degree, Harvard *sent* that to him in the mail. We *need* somebody smart in control of this nation. We don’t need any Texas Billionaire spoiled & ignorant brat, who wants to be a new age Crusader – nor do we need another dunce as president.

  2. Ignorance breeds ignonorance. A lawyers mantaliy is to only bring forth any information that will support his/her point of view. It has nothing to do with the truth. Too many institutions lift up those individuals that support their values and viewpoints over those that may be equally or more brilliant with opposing viewpoints. There are many individuals that have memorized many facts, but do not have the ability to properly evaluate the facts to come to truthful, logical or proper conclusions. Also if a student absorbs 100% of what is taught him/her, but what is taught him or is either incorrect or incomplete then his or her conclusions or viewpoint is flawed and incorrect, thus we have liberals, demorcats, socialists, etc…

  3. Jay, it’s funny that you speak about not being able to evaluate facts and not being able to come up with proper conclusions when you then end your diatribe by coming up with a conclusion that is not at all supported by what you’ve written previously.

  4. LOL! I came across this site by chance…

Still feel the same way? Other than Jimmy Carter, Obama may be the worst President ever.

Doing well on paper exams do not qualify you for the Presidency.

So far, he can not clean up the mess the Democratic Congress has gotten us into….

  5. BB, you are a true idiot. “the mess the Democratic Congress has gotten us into” … do you really believe that? That’s absurd.

The “solutions” the Republicans are offering are what got us into this mess.

And there have been many Presidents worse than Jimmy Carter including George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.
