Michigan: Obama 48%, McCain 39%
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Jun 24, 2008 in Barack Obama, John McCain
The latest poll out of Michigan (which Republicans are hoping will be a swing state) has Barack Obama ahead of John McCain 48% to 39%. The poll is by PPP.
Obama got a late start in Michigan due to there being no sanctioned vote there during the primaries. Obama was not even on the ballot for the Democratic primary. Because of this he was behind in earlier polls vs. McCain, but he now appears to have a solid lead there.
Michigan went for Kerry in 2004 & Gore in 2000 and while not necessarily absolutely essential for an Obama victory, it is considered quite important.

I sincerely hope that obama wins. Im hoping for a change in the whitehouse. Im from the UK and I agree that america are the most influential and powerfuly country in the world and i think the world needs new leadership for this power and infleunce
