National Gallup Poll: Obama 52% Clinton 42%

Barack Obama has officially weathered the Wright “controversy” as most Americans have pulled their heads out of their asses and realized it’s a non-story created by right wing media (Fox News) in order to appeal to much of white America’s latent racism.

Obama now holds a commanding 52% to 42% lead in the latest Gallup poll released today. This Obama surge is the likely result of the Wright story getting old, Clinton’s lies piling up in plain view, and the Clinton campaign’s kitchen sink “Tonya Harding” negativity backfiring on them.

If Obama can keep (or extend) this national poll lead and then win Pennsylvania (even by 1%) one would think that would be enough to finally knock out Hillary Clinton for good.

  1. I will never vote for Hillary. She has demonstrated a lack of judgment, ethics, or any sense that a democrat MUST take the white house, even if it isn’t her.

    Fuck her.

  2. Don’t count on Pennsylvania, Hillary is big there. If Obama keeps the loss to single digits that is as good as a win for him.

  3. I agree with getaclue. HOw anyone could fathom voting for her after all this is unfathomable. The only person in the world she would stand a chance against in a general election is Cheney.

  4. boo - I know Penn. is a long shot at this point… But I have a good feeling that the momentum is now strongly in Obama’s favor. If Dems (in general) realize that it’s time to rally around Obama then I think there’s a chance he can overcome the PA deficit and eek out a win. But yes… anything within 10% points would be good, as Obama is sure to repay the favor in NC.
