New National Poll: Obama 48%, McCain 33%

A new LA Times/Bloomberg poll gives Barack Obama a 48% to 33% national lead over John McCain when Bob Barr & Ralph Nader are included in the polling.

Perhaps even more telling of McCain’s problem is that even among the voters who are planning on voting for McCain there is not much enthusiasm for the candidate. Only 45% of John McCain voters in this poll say they are “enthusiastic” about voting for McCain, in comparison 81% of Barack Obama voters are “enthusiastic” about voting for Obama.

This “enthusiastic” gap may help Obama expand his poll lead to an even bigger victory on election day due to higher voter turnout.
