Newsweek National Poll: Obama 54% Clinton 35%
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Apr 19, 2008 in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton
The Newsweek poll taken on April 16th & 17th gives Barack Obama a huge 19% lead over Hillary Clinton nationally among likely Democratic voters (54% to 35%.) The poll also gives Obama a lead over John McCain in the general election match-up (48% to 44%.)
The Newsweek poll differs from the other recent polls which have the national contest between Obama & Clinton much tighter (Obama leads in the Gallup poll by 3% and in the Rasmussen poll by 5%.)
