Obama Back To +10 In Gallup Tracking Poll
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Oct 13, 2008 in Barack Obama
McCain/Palin supporters such as Matt Drudge have been pointing to the Gallup poll as proof of “tightening” in the election because it went from a high of an 11 point lead for Obama to only a 7 point lead in the poll released yesterday.
Today’s new Gallup tracking poll destroys that story because Obama is back up by 10 points. This indicates that the so called “tightening” was really just statistical noise.
Today’s National Polls
DailyKos/R2000 = Obama +12
Gallup = Obama +10
ABC News = Obama +10
Democracy Corps = Obama +10
Battleground = Obama +8
Diageo/Hotline = Obama +6
Rasmussen = Obama +5
Clearly McCain supporters will want to cherry pick that +5 in Rasmussen but it makes more sense to look at all of the data together and when you average these 7 polls together you get an Obama lead of 9.
