Obama Bests Angry McCain In First Debate
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Sep 27, 2008 in Barack Obama
Barack Obama easily beat John McCain in the first debate last night (which covered economics & foreign policy) both because of his own strong performance which showcased his Presidential demeanor and great command of the issues and because of McCain’s poor performance which featured his disturbingly angry condescending personality and his propensity to tell lies with a straight face.
While a McCain supporter may claim that is only my opinion, it’s clear from the post debate polls last night that it’s also the opinion of the majority of Americans.
Among McCain’s many mistakes last night was his failure to mention the middle class a single time which is proof positive that McCain’s out of touch with everyday Americans and their economic problems.
Probably the worst thing about McCain’s performance last night was the angry contemptuous way in which he presented himself. In fact he would not even make eye contact with Barack Obama. Is he embarrassed of himself and the campaign he’s been running? He should be.
