Obama Breaks Open 16% Point Lead Over Clinton Nationally

According to the latest Gallup polling, Obama now leads Clinton 55% to 39% among Democrats nationally. This is the biggest lead he’s ever had in the Gallup national Democratic poll.
Oregon & Kentucky hold primaries tomorrow (although Oregon votes by mail so most have already voted there.)
Obama is expected to win Oregon (probably by 10% or more) and Clinton is expected to win Kentucky in a landslide on the back of racist uneducated white people much as she did in West Virginia.
The contests tomorrow should give Obama a guaranteed majority of the pledged delegates as he needs only 16 pledged delegates to reach that threshold and 103 are up for grabs tomorrow.

as an american (and don’t live in these states), i was offended at the comment…………. “Clinton is expected to win Kentucky in a landslide on the back of racist uneducated white people much as she did in West Virginia.” It is hard enough to keep race out of this without such comments……..and if you don’t think it was a bit racist, go tell them that face to face, see what happens…….Tom, AZ

tom o – it’s fine to be offended, it doesn’t make it any less true. it’s obvious why Clinton is winning these states – it has nothing to do with the issues and everything to do with the color of Obama’s skin. Racism still runs rampant in parts of this country, that’s one of the sad facts this nomination processes has shown us. Sure racism has been a factor in other states with large rural populations but the reason this factor is so much larger in states like WV & Kentucky is that uneducated racist whites make up a much larger portion of their overall population.
