Obama Leads McCain 48% to 43% In Latest CBS News Poll
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Mar 20, 2008 in Barack Obama, John McCain
In the latest CBS News of the likely general election match-up of Democrat Barack Obama vs. Republican John McCain, Obama leads McCain 48% to 43%.
There seems to be a disconnect between what voters are saying about George W. Bush and how they feel about John McCain. Bush has an extremely low job approval (29% in the latest CBS News poll) but that hasn’t translated to extremely low numbers for John McCain. This is despite the fact that McCain has essentially the same positions as George W. Bush on most of the important issues facing America.
Certainly Bush would lose in a landslide if he were up for a 3rd term. So why is McCain polling as well as he is? Perhaps not enough people realize how similar he is to Bush on all of the major issues? People want a better economy and they want to get out of Iraq. They aren’t going to get that with McCain. So why would they vote for him?
All Americans need to realize that a vote for McCain is a vote for four more years of George W. Bush’s policies.

How do these polls work? how do they choose whom to include in the poll? How many people usually participate in such polls? These are the things which we should ask.
