Obama With Big National Lead
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Oct 11, 2008 in Barack Obama
All of McCain/Palin’s smear tactics do not appear to be working. It seems that with the country (and the world) in real economic turmoil that the last thing Americans want to hear about is more nonsensical BS political hit jobs from the right wing.
Everyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that the Bill Ayers line of attack is nothing but hot air. To get an idea of how much hot air it is: This is the guy who funded the group whose board Obama & Ayers were both on.
Walter Annenberg. Good friend of Ronald Reagan. Founder of the TV Guide. About as far away from a “radical” as you can get. His wife, Leonore Annenberg also sat on the board with Obama & Ayers. Did she “pal around with terrorists?”
When Obama met Ayers in the 1990s he was a respected professor far removed from his radical past. Anyone who cared about education in Chicago during the 1990s met Ayers. Are all of those people (including MANY Republicans) “palling around with terrorists?” It’s an absolutely ludicrous claim. How stupid do John McCain & Sarah Palin think Americans are?
Regardless of how stupid they think Americans are, it looks like Americans who want their country back from the neocons are too smart to fall for the Swift Boat garbage this time around.
The Latest Polls:
DailyKos/Research 2000: Obama 52%, McCain 40%
Gallup: Obama 51%, McCain 42%
Rasmussen: Obama 52%, McCain 45%
The Diageo/Hotline tracking poll (which I usually ignore as I think it’s all over the place) also came out with it’s biggest lead for Obama today, he’s now up 10% (50% to 40%) in that poll. On it’s own it wouldn’t mean much, but it does seem to confirm an overall positive Obama trend.
The Newsweek poll released yesterday has Obama up by 11%.
2008, Polls

7, 9, 10, 11, & 12 in those five polls. And I don’t believe any of these polls accurately capture Obama’s huge voter registration and Get Out The Vote efforts nor do they accurately capture the cellphone only voters that are overwhelmingly pro-Obama.

It really does not matter who gets elected, it’s not going to help the economy anytime soon. Then the poor guy who is in office will receive the wrath that you blating sheep give everyone else. I agree with Dave Ramsey, it is everyones greed and lust for more that has gotten us into this mess. Only God can turn hearts to get us out.

Oh Tom. “blating sheep.” Really? I’ll agree that the economy is not going to turn around overnight. But you’ll have to do better than that to argue that it does not matter who gets elected. The last 8 years proves that argument ridiculous.
