Obama’s Approval Rating: 67%
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Feb 1, 2009 in Barack Obama
President Obama’s approval rating remains high according to Gallup, it’s currently at 67% approval with only 18% disapproval (and I guess the rest are somewhere in between?)
It’s important for Obama’s approval ratings to be high so that he has more “political capital” necessary to push the necessary changes through the House & the Senate.
It’s also obviously important for his 2012 re-election bid although that is still some ways off – the #1 indicator of whether a sitting President will be re-elected is their job approval rating. In the past any approval rating above 50% has meant that the incumbent President will be re-elected.
