Obama’s National Poll Lead Is Expanding

Today’s national tracking polls (Gallup, Rasmussen, Hotline, Research 2000) have Obama ahead of McCain by 8%, 6%, 5%, & 7% respectively.

Obama’s lead appears to be growing in response to McCain’s obvious political stunt of “suspending his campaign” (even when he really didn’t – it was just another McCain lie), Sarah Palin’s disturbingly incompetent interview with Katie Couric, and Obama’s very strong performance in Friday night’s debate (coupled with McCain’s nasty demeanor.)

Stories Of The Day

1. Sarah Palin is “a high-schooler trying to BULLSHIT her way through a book report.”

2. McCain didn’t care if his grandstanding might precipitate an even deeper economic collapse. All he cared about was whether he might save his campaign.

3. Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

4. Economist ridicules John McCain’s obsession with earmarks.
