Palin: Least Experienced, Least Credentialed Person On A Major Party Ticket In History
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Aug 30, 2008 in John McCain
The bewildering decision that John McCain made by selecting Alaskan Governor (for less than 2 years) Sarah Palin as his VP nominee gets more and more bewildering the more we learn about Palin. Scholars say that Palin has the least experience and is the least credentialed of any person ever on a major party ticket. Click here to read the full story on Palin’s lack of experience at Politico.
This begs the question about McCain’s judgment. It’s clear he made this choice for political reasons and not for governing reasons. At 72 years old and with serious health concerns that’s an incredibly questionable move. It’s obvious he did not put his “country first” when he made this choice. It’s even more obvious that Sarah Palin is not ready to step in and be Commander In Chief.
When recently asked about Iraq Palin responded “I haven’t really focused much on the war in Iraq.” Seriously. That’s what she said. This is the VP choice of the man who claims experience is so important? I hope people realize that this isn’t just politics, this is the future of our nation at stake. This person is not capable of being our Commander In Chief and considering McCain’s age and health concerns that is an even more important consideration than usual.
We need a VP that can step into to the role of the Presidency if need be, Joe Biden certainly can. The choice of Biden makes the case for Barack Obama’s sober minded pragmatic judgment. Obama knows it’s important that his VP be able to be a capable President, it should be the #1 criteria of anyone selecting a VP of anyone with any kind of judgment at all. McCain clearly lacks that same judgment.

How can you even question her experience when Obama doesn’t have much more? The big difference here being that she isn’t running for president, he however is.

Obama is far more experienced than Palin. You are buying into a ridiculous right wing talking point. Obama was a state senator for 8 years representing more people than Palin represents as the Governor of Alaska. On top of that Obama has been a US Senator for almost 4 years while Palin has been Gov. of Alaska for less than 2 years. On top of that Palin’s experience prior to being Gov. is laughable. PTA? Mayor of a town with less than 7000 people? You have to be kidding me. It’s absolutely ridiculous to compare her experience to Obama’s. Furthermore Obama has been through 18 months of campaigning and has proven himself on the campaign trail. He is an exceptional politician. He won the nomination of the Democrats by getting over 18 million votes. Sarah Palin got ONE vote from a man she met just ONE time (John McCain.) The comparison is RIDICULOUS.
Sarah Palin is the least qualified person on a major ticket EVER and she completely destroys every argument McCain can make “experience” “ready to lead” “country first” – all have been shown to be an absolute SHAM.
