President Obama is a Big Spender? Not So Much.

This graphic, which completely contradicts the right wing mantra that President Obama is the biggest spending President of all-time!!!, has been making its way around Facebook:

GOP claim that Obama is the biggest spending President of all-time is the opposite of the truth.
Politifact rates the graph as “Mostly True.” (and if you read their reasoning for why they said it’s “mostly true” instead of “100% true” you’ll see that they are really splitting some hairs. This is the fact: President Obama has presided over the slowest growth in federal spending in 60 years.)

The right wing media has been spreading the lie that President Obama has increased spending as President at an unprecedented rate for so long that many people believe it — but the facts, as usual, are not on the side of the Republicans.
It’s absurd to me that some polling shows a lot of people think that Mitt Romney would turn the economy around faster than President Obama when Romney’s policies are nothing more than a doubling down on the George W. Bush policies that greatest the greatest economic downturn since the Great Depression.
The Republican’s only tools for this election are lies (like Obama has increased spending) and the ridiculous complaint that President Obama hasn’t cleaned up their mess fast enough.
