President Obama Wins The Nobel Peace Prize
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Oct 9, 2009 in Barack Obama
President Barack Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize for his ambitious efforts to promote a more peaceful world.
Obama won the award because he is willing to talk to his enemies, he has reached out to the Muslim world, he has reached out to Russia, he has recognized climate change and how important it is to slow global warming, he is seeking to abolish nuclear weapons, and he has put pressure on Israel to make peace in the middle east.
Certainly some will say that it’s too early in his Presidency and that he doesn’t deserve the award. But the point is that the US has a President that the world respects (for the first time in quite awhile) and that’s a very good thing for diplomacy.
And you have to wonder about the patriotism of anyone who wouldn’t be happy that our President is so well respected around the world.
