President Obama’s Speech On Health Care Reform
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Sep 8, 2009 in Barack Obama
Tomorrow President Obama makes the biggest speech of his Presidency (so far, anyway) on one of the biggest topics facing America: Our dysfunctional health care system (which currently ranks #37 in the world despite the fact that we spend more on health care than any other nation) and how it can best be fixed.
He will be addressing a joint session of congress and, of course, the American people. The speech begins at 8PM EST. Many supporters of health care reform are attending “watch parties” - if you want to attend one (or host one) in you area then go to the Organizing for America website.
If you want to do your part to help get real health care reform passed, join HealthCareForAmericaNow.org and StandWithDrDean.com, contact your Congressman and your Senators, and write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper explaining why we need health care reform now (I recommend reading over these 24 reasons why we need health care reform before writing your letter.)
