The final popular vote spread from the RealClearPolitics.com poll average was Barack Obama +6.5, the final spread at Pollster.com (which includes more polls than RCP) was Obama +7.6, and the final projection from FiveThirtyEight.com was Obama +6.1

Her name was Madelyn Dunham and she was 86 years old. She had been battling cancer. Obama had taken a couple of days off from the campaign in late October to visit her in Hawaii because he wanted to be sure to see her before she passed away.

The latest (and last?) pathetic smear attempt on Barack Obama by the John McCain/Matt Drudge/Fox News campaign is that Obama will somehow “bankrupt the coal industry.” There’s one huge problem with this smear:
McCain has the exact same position as Obama on coal.
