According to the blog at ABC News, John Edwards’ campaign manager, David Bonier, is the latest high profile Democrat to endorse Barack Obama for president. Bondier is a former Michigan congressman and was once the second highest ranking Democrat in the House.

It’s now up to Hillary Clinton to bow out gracefully and help to rally & unite the Democratic party around Barack Obama in his general election campaign against John McCain.

With 99% reporting Hillary Clinton wins Indiana 51% to 49% over Barack Obama. Obama won North Carolina in much more commanding fashion 56% to 42%. With 99% reporting Obama has 56% of the vote and Clinton has 41%. This is a huge win for Obama. It’s a much larger win than most pundits were predicting. Indiana is still too close to call. With 91% reporting in Indiana, it’s Clinton 51%, Obama 49%.

Many democrats are crossing their fingers that the Democratic nomination battle will finally be over after today’s voting. A sweep by Obama would all but force Clinton out of the race.
