The Republican Party Is Spiraling Out Of Control

The Republicans appear to be in danger of becoming a fringe party that only appeals to the type of people who don’t think Rush Limbaugh is a moronic gasbag. And luckily for the future of this country the amount of Americans who are deluded enough to have a favorable opinion of Limbaugh is lower than 30%. In fact Limbaugh is so unpopular, his favorable ratings are below even those of George W. Bush.
While most Americans are rallying around President Obama, the Republicans are doing everything they can to thwart Obama’s attempts to put the country back on the rails again. The level of disaster that Bush left Obama with cannot be overstated. George W. Bush has brought this country to the brink of destruction with his disastrous leadership and policies.
The Bush Recession appears to be turning into The Bush Depression. Millions of Americans are suffering because of this economic crisis and yet you have GOP “leadership” saying that they want President Obama’s efforts to improve the economy to fail. It’s hard to imagine anything more unpatriotic than hoping for the failure of America. A failure that will mean real life hardship for millions of people in this country.
The Republicans are no longer a serious party. They have no serious possibilities for President in 2012. They have nobody in leadership positions who appear to have anything resembling a serious idea of how to fix this country.
Republican ideas have put this country in the mess it is in today. It’s time to leave those ideas behind. And unless the Republicans can come up with new ideas, it’s time to leave their party behind as well. The Rush Limbaughs of the world are part of history, not part of the future.
