Today’s Gallup Poll: Obama 52%, McCain 43%
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Oct 29, 2008 in Barack Obama
Today’s Gallup national tracking poll shows movement back towards Obama. His lead among registered voters is back up to 9% points (it fell to 7% yesterday.)
This seems to indicate that the recent “tightening” in the trackers may be little more than statistical noise or a very slight movement towards McCain (looking at all of the polls together, Gallup isn’t proof of movement to McCain.)
The Likely Voter models do show the race closer, in particular the “Traditional” model (which I think is completely bogus) which has Obama only up by 3%.
Of course this traditional likely voter model is probably a best case scenario for McCain and the fact that he can’t even get a lead in that model says a lot about his chances on Election Day unless something big happens between now and November 4th.
