With the Michigan & Florida situations now resolved, Barack Obama should pass the threshold to become the presumptive Democratic nominee with the South Dakota & Montana primaries on Tuesday.

Obama: “We don’t want to have to answer for everything that’s stated in the church. We also don’t want the church subjected to the scrutiny that a presidential campaign legitimately undergoes.”

McCain & the Republican attack machine desperately want this campaign to be about anything other than the issues and how John McCain represents four more years of George W. Bush’s failures. It’s clear that they would love to make a huge deal about Barack Obama’s church in order to distract voters from the real issues, Obama has just taken that option off the table. This is an election about issues, not baseless smears.
