Torture Investigations
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Apr 21, 2009 in Barack Obama
President Obama has left the door open for congressional investigations into the Bush admin’s role in the torture of prisoners of war during the “War on Terror.”
It’s clear that the orders to use torture (which is illegal according to international law) came from the top so these investigations could lead to the very top of the Bush administration: George W. Bush & Dick Cheney.
The question is: Does the law apply to these people? And if not, why not? Is there any reason those that pushed for the use of torture should not be considered war criminals?

I think the law should definitely be applied to Bush and Cheney. They have basically admitted to waterboarding and thus have admitted to torturing Guantanamo prisoners. No one is above the law.
