Trouble In Nevada For McCain?
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Apr 27, 2008 in John McCain, Ron Paul
With all of the focus on the supposed split in the Democratic party between Hillary Clinton & Barack Obama supporters (as I’ve mentioned earlier, I think this split is mostly superficial as their policies do not differ that much) there hasn’t been much attention on the GOP split as of late. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I think the GOP split is much more significant because it’s not superficial. The social conservatives that backed Mike Huckabee and the fiscal conservatives/anti war Republicans that back Ron Paul do not like John McCain because of substantive reasons.
While the media has largely ignored this, the fact is that Ron Paul supporters are a very vocal minority in the Republican party and they cannot stand John McCain. They have not given up on electing as many delegates as possible for Ron Paul for the GOP convention. This is causing a lot of trouble for the McCain campaign. The latest trouble is coming from Paul supporters in Nevada. Read the stories below.
