Turning The Lights On

For the past year health care reform has been a fuzzy image in a darkened room and the Republicans/Tea Party/Fox News/Health Insurance Industry have the made most of the dark by spreading fear about what that fuzzy image might actually be (it may even be a “socialist” “death panel” !?) It’s easy to get people afraid when they’re in the dark.
But what will happen if the health care bill is actually passed? When this happens health care reform will no longer be a fuzzy image in a darkened room. The lights will go on and everyone will see for themselves what it actually is. And of course it will not be anything close to what the fearmongers have been making it out to be all this time.
Many people will barely notice any difference. And those that do notice a difference will notice positive changes.
It seems to me that the last year’s worth of lies about health care reform from the Republican Party and their allies will come back to haunt them in a big way. Why should anyone believe anything the Republicans say when it’s been proven that every single thing they said about the health care reform bill was nothing but a lie?
I can’t wait to see what happens when the lights are finally turned on and everyone can see the truth clearly.
It’s easy to lie about something that isn’t easily seen, but how can you lie about something that people are experiencing first hand in their own lives?

I should also add that I think this is why the Republicans are pulling out all of the stops trying to stop this bill from passing – I think they see it as a huge danger that this bill will pass and people will see that they are completely 100% full of crap.
