USA Today/Gallup Poll Has McCain Up By 4% Nationally
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Jul 28, 2008 in Barack Obama, John McCain
A new USA Today/Gallup poll is the first national poll since May 3 to give John McCain lead over Barack Obama.
In fact the poll has McCain ahead by 4%: 49% to 45%. Strangely this is a very different result from Gallup’s tracking poll which just yesterday had Obama up by 9% (his biggest lead yet in the Gallup poll) and today has Obama up by 8%.
Does this mean anything? Or is it a polling fluke? It’s hard to believe it when the Gallup tracking poll is headed in the other direction.
