Virtual March on Washington for Health Care Reform on February 24

Next Wednesday (February 24th) there will be a “Virtual March on Washington” for Health Care Reform.

Blue Cross recently increased premiums by 39% in California despite the fact that Blue Cross made $4.7 billion in profit last year. If that doesn’t make it obvious why we need health care reform then I guess you have a lot of money that you’d like to give to the health insurance industry have.

We must have a public option or the health insurance industry will have no true competition and they will continue to raise rates until only the very rich can afford health care.

Plus, it’s important to know that health insurance companies often turn down coverage to those who need it most. Their goal is not your health, but their profits. Even if you think you have good health insurance, you may find out when you need it most that your health insurance company has found some loophole so they don’t have to pay for your health care.

We need a public option.

Join the Virtual March on Washington on February 24th. We must tell our congressmen and our Senators that we support health care reform 100%! We must also tell them that we will not accept health care reform without a public option.
