Who Increased The Debt?

Something to remember when you hear Republicans talk about the debt/deficit:

I’m so tired of the Republicans talking about the deficit. They have absolutely ZERO credibility on the subject. NONE. They need to STFU and stop playing their BS games.

  5. The worst thing is when Republicans try to give blame to Obama for the 2009 budget … it’s so crazy! Yes Obama took office in January of 2009 but the budget for 2009 was set in 2008. They want to blame Obama for something that was already done when he took office. It shows how full of it they are.

Yes these Republican trolls love to harp on the huge increase from 2008 to 2009 … of course that huge increase came because of the Bush Recession and was already in place when Obama came to the White House.

The biggest driver of today’s deficit are the Bush tax cuts for the rich… followed by Bush’s war in Iraq… and the Bush Recession.

Bush does not get *nearly* enough blame for what he did to this country.

  6. You’re right Sammy. Bush doesn’t get nearly the blame that he deserves.

People have to realize that the mess Bush left behind was not just a small mess, this was a monumental mess.

A Hoover-esque mess. No reasonable person would have expected FDR to turn around the country’s economy so quickly back in the 1930s but today people expect Obama to work miracles even though the Republicans have done every single thing they can to stop economic growth.

For example right now they will not pass Obama’s American Jobs Act even though it would add 1.9 million jobs – the reason why? They don’t want the economy to improve for political reasons.

That’s what we’re working with right now in this country. A President who is doing everything he can to get us back on track and a Republican controlled House that would rather watch the world burn than help just because they think it would hurt Obama politically.

Actually it’s worse than just watching the world burn, the Republicans are throwing gas on the fire.

George W. Bush and the Republican Party of today deserve the blame – anyone who is informed knows this.

  7. It’s nice to see this “who increased the debt chart” making the rounds … it’s all over Facebook now.

It’s so amazing that all of these Republicans are talking about debt now when they are the party that basically invented US national debt.

As you pointed out in your post: Dick Cheney himself said that “Reagan proved deficits don’t matter.” I mean… come on!!! It’s ridiculous! How is that anyone can’t see through the Republican’s BS? I seriously question the intelligence of anyone who supports the Republican Party.

  10. I’d think someone that wants to cut a trillion dollars year one (ron paul) wouldnt be tied into the republican slander.

Sure every republican is the same, buts its about Ron paul vs Obama; considering Romney is just a clone of Obama on all of his policies.
