Zogby Has Clinton/Obama In A Close Battle For Pennsylvania
By ThePresidentialCandidates.US on Apr 13, 2008 in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton
Clinton was supposed to win Pennsylvania easily. The only question was supposed to be how much would she win by? Could she win by 20+ points to show that she was still in the nomination race? Now as Pennsylvania Democrats see more of Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton they are moving more and more towards Obama, making this race much closer than Clinton would like.
Most pundits agree that an Obama win in Pennsylvania would be a knock out punch to the Clinton campaign as she is already mathematically incapable of taking over the pledged delegate lead from Obama so she must stake her nomination hopes on flimsy rationalizations (directed at the superdelegates) about how she has won the “big states” which somehow makes her a better candidate against McCain in the general election (even though polls consistently show Obama doing better against McCain.) A loss in Pennsylvania would shoot a big hole in her argument which is obviously already very weak.
This Zogby poll taken on the 9th and the 10th says that Clinton now holds a small 47% to 43% lead over Obama in Pennsylvania. Way too close for comfort for the Clinton campaign. Obama has the momentum and the Clinton keeps shooting herself in the foot with lies.
